To return 20% of African children who had to drop out of school for economic reasons back to school within 5 years.
This is Promise, 10 years old.
Promise is a very bright child, but dropped out of school in the third grade due to her parents' economic situation.
After participating in Back2SchoolAfrica's "Protecting the Future Project," Promise is back in school and working towards her dream of becoming a doctor, and Back2SchoolAfrica is offering her, as well as other children, scholarships up to the university level.
Uganda
Faith Angels Ministry creates a future for the marginalized and impoverished people of Uganda. They provide education to children and also helps them to have access to safe and clean water.
This is Andrew, the founder of Faith Angels Ministry.
In the area of Batwa, Uganda, due to the low income level of the community, they could not afford to buy alcohol sanitizer for COVID-19 prevention. Because of this, they could not afford COVID-19 prevention and the sanitary conditions in Batwa deteriorated.
Andrew is distributing soap to the Batwa community to help them stay healthy and take preventive measures against COVID-19.
Indonesia
Sasak satu swara builds schools for children in rural areas and provides them with free education so that they can contribute to the development of their communities.
Reading a book to the children is Levi, the founder of Sasak satu swara.
In impoverished areas like West Nusa Tenggara Province, where Lombok Island is located, Indonesia, where he lives, children do not have access to adequate education and many are forced to migrate to other countries to support their families.
He taught local children to study while working as a tour guide and a lawyer. He founded Sasak satu swara in the fall of 2020 with the goal of building schools and providing free education.
Colombia
The organization provides free health maintenance workshops and medical care to Colombia's most vulnerable children, pregnant women, and the elderly.
This is Paula. She worked for 11 years at the Polytechnic University in Antioquia as a specialist in judicial investigation before founding this NGO.
Paula has a daughter, and it was her daughter's comment, "Everyone lives to help others," that inspired her to found this NGO.
Paula realized that the meaning of human existence is to help each other, so she founded the NGO Solidaridad sin Limites, which provides free medical care and health education in remote areas of the city.
Sierra Leone
IOM promotes youth employment and entrepreneurship in Sierra Leone and reduces the risk of irregular migration.
He is Alie, an entrepreneur in Sierra Leone.
He participated in IOM's entrepreneurship project and studied the basics of entrepreneurship. He hopes to establish a computer training center in Sierra Leone in the future and run a business to help people grow.
Sierra Leone has one of the highest youth unemployment rates in Africa. For decades, participation in entrepreneurship support, technical education and vocational training has been limited. He hopes to create a future in which Sierra Leone's youth can become more economically independent and further develop their skills.
