Hello everyone!
I am María Fernanda, mother of Rafaela, we live in Quito-Ecuador.
Rafaela was born with a defect that affects the normal flow of blood through the heart, called the Tetralogy of Fallot. It occurs when the baby's heart does not form correctly as it grows and develops in the womb during pregnancy.
In 2017, thanks to the Por Cristo Foundation, she had her first surgical intervention.
In May 2023, during her post-surgery check-up, we were informed that Rafaela needed a new intervention, which must be performed abroad, we needed to raise the money to pay for the procedure.
